Chesapeake Systems is the premier manufacturer’s representative, leading the industry in professionalism and knowledge, supported by world-class customer service. We are constantly seeking and developing quality customers, vendors, and employees. The Company was incorporated in 1992 as a commercial HVAC manufacturer's representative in the Maryland/DC Market. In 2000, R.L. Gladden joined Chesapeake Systems. He is now President/CEO and sole shareholder.
Chesapeake began with two divisions: bid & spec and aftermarket. It has since diversified and now has five primary divisions:
Chesapeake Systems’ Aftermarket division is the secondary market of commercial and industrial HVAC/Plumbing concerned with the manufacturing, remanufacturing, distribution, retailing, and installation of all parts, equipment, and accessories, after the sale of the product by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to the consumer. The parts, accessories, etc. for sale may or may not be manufactured by the OEM.
Our Aftermarket parts are divided into two categories: replacement parts and accessories. Replacement parts are commercial and industrial HVAC/Plumbing parts built or remanufactured to replace OE parts as they become worn or damaged. Our Accessories are parts made for comfort, convenience, performance, safety, or customization, and are designed for add-on after the original sale of a product.
The aftermarket encompasses parts for replacement, damage, appearance, and performance. The aftermarket provides a wide variety of parts of varying qualities and prices for nearly all product makes and models.
Our Aftermarket Sales Division provides a full staff of outside and inside sales personnel that work to design and
sell replacement HVAC equipment in the Mid-Atlantic region. Our objective begins by working with consulting engineers, building owners, and property managers to becoming the basis of design with the products we represent. Once the project is offered for bidding purposes we negotiate with the client to obtain an order on the full package of equipment we can offer.
